VR Psychotherapy Research System – Master's Degree Project
Description
Developed a custom VR system as part of my Master's research, focused on exploring the therapeutic potential of virtual environments in psychotherapy.
The immersive environment is built on the SHIP® therapeutic framework and is designed to guide users through emotionally supportive experiences. The VR experience is remotely controlled by a researcher or therapist via a web-based dashboard.
This hybrid system allows for seamless coordination between VR immersion and real-time monitoring or adjustments through a simple HTML interface.
Key Features:
- Immersive virtual environments built using Unreal Engine
- Based on the SHIP® Frame for therapeutic design
- Web-based dashboard for remote session control
- Designed for psychotherapy and academic research contexts
- Real-time interaction between researcher and user
